Analogue AND digital audio input capability
Analogue Up to 32 channels per card.
Digital Up to 32 AES3 (AES/EBU) pairs per card with SRC (32kHz-192kHz re-sampled to 48kHz).
NOTE: 32 AES3 pairs = 64 channels. Digital audio cards have twice the effective channel capacity of analogue cards because digital audio is transmitted as AES pairs comprising two discrete channels (though these are often just the left and right stereo components).
For AES transmission: 75ohm single ended terminations (unbalanced) are often used by consumer audio equipment and usually output via a phono socket. 100ohm differential terminations (balanced) are mainly used by professional audio sources and often output via a XLR socket.
AIPxxD/AIP32AD – The digital only and the analogue/digital combination audio input cards have user selectable balanced (100R)/unbalanced (75R) input terminations.
RMP-A32 This rear can be used for either audio inputs or outputs and is fitted with with two high density 44 way female ‘D’ connectors supporting a total of 32 audio channels (16 channels/connector). With the appropriate interface cable, the audio rear is capable of accepting analogue or digital audio signals.
2 x High density 44-way D-type socket per RMP-A32 rear

Audio pips can be configured up to a maximum of 512 (including video pips) with audio sources derived from the video inputs.
SDI or HDMI outputs can be individually configured to include up to 4 pairs of embedded audio from any of the inputs.
All audio sources are fed to a routing matrix and made available for metering, embedding into the video outputs and external monitoring. A 6.35mm stereo phono socket is mounted on the SMP-AMxx front panel for local monitoring of two channels of audio.
Audio Carrier Loss, Audio Silence, Audio Over/Under threshold, Audio Phase Error, Audio mono

The name of each audio channel can be edited, names entered will be displayed below the meter bars if the labelling for the meter is set to Text in the Edit Object Properties of the tile that the meter is in.
Analogue and Digital Clocks with foreground and background colours. Date can be displayed with clocks. Clock/date display data can be derived from several sources; the system clock, NTP synchronisation, LTC, or VITC from a chosen SDI input. Time-zone and offset settings.
A non-rechargeable battery ensures the time and date settings are retained if power is lost or the unit is powered down.
